Mathematics last updated on June 19, 2014 The math units are in DRAFT form until we are able to move the maps into Moodle. Please email Tamisha Thompson (TThompson) with any questions.
More resources are embedded in the unit planning guides. Not all included resources are accessible, as some pertain to the Math Elementary Resource pilot programs. More resources are coming. About these curriculum maps:
The intent for the use of these curriculum maps are guidance for instruction. These maps indicate "what" to teach, and "when". The "how" is determined by the needs of students.
The standards indicated within the planning guides are nonnegotiable. They are the standards that every student has to master at each grade level. We hope that the units contained will support understanding of what students should know and be able to do by the end of each unit.
That said, these units are DRAFTS. As they are implemented, the need for modification will come up, and changes and additions will have to take place.
